obsolescence of their components, spare parts for these
instrumentations are no longer available. - For EDC digital instrumentations: also the spare parts

but it's normally possible to repair the power board of the control module
(the first on the left, whose front panel includes the STORAGE button). - For RB - RM instrumentations: 9" black and white
(RB) or 14" color (RM) CRT monitors are no longer
available, but can be replaced with TFT color video of equivalent size.
Computer motherboards built into the instrumentation normally
cease to work when their battery runs out, which in almost all cards is
inserted inside an integrated circuit (Real Time Clock).
This component can be replaced and after restoring the parameters of the
BIOS according to correct values, the system returns to normal operation.
RETROFIT
When the measurement cards of a digital or computerized
instrumentation are no longer available and they cannot be
repaired because due to the obsolescence of their
components those parts are no longer available, it is
possible to replace the instrumentation with a new model
corresponding to the current state of the art.
